Beaches and Parties Jamaican Style

Enjoy the sand and crystal blue waters at one of the area's many beautiful beaches. Silent Waters' Tryall Club membership offers guests access to the spectacular beach at the exclusive Tryall Club which is 15 minutes by car from Silent Waters Villa (see below for details). Other beaches are located within a 10-15 minute drive and some, such as Negril Beach, are within a 45 minute drive.

Doctor’s Cave Bathing Club and Beach

Located in the middle of Montego Bay's "Hip Strip" Gloucester Avenue, the beach took its name from Dr. Alexander Mc Catty, who owned it and turned it into a bathing club in 1906. A small cave located on the property (which is no longer accessible) also contributed to the name. The name seems even more appropriate since Sir Herbert Baker (a British osteopath) claimed in the 1920's that the waters could cure a variety of ailments. The translucent water is known for its mineral content and the world-famous white-sand beach is clean and inviting.  Doctor's Cave also provides a variety of meals and drinks to satisfy the taste buds. Seawinds Beach Club and Beach

Sandwiched between Secrets Resort and Sunset Beach Resort in Freeport, Montego Bay, Seawinds offers a nice beach, swimming pool, lounge chairs and shade umbrellas at no extra cost. Enjoy a full bar with service on the beach. A delicious buffet brunch is offered on SUNDAYS for $25 per person and includes access to the beach and complementary music provided by a band. Negril Beach

Located 45 minutes west of Silent Waters Villa, Negril has 7 miles of white sand beach, clubs, restaurants, reggae and beach bars.  Margaritaville on the Beach is a great place for lunch and water sports.  All totally casual.  Hire a boatman and enjoy great diving and snorkeling on Negril’s reefs.

Round Hill Beach Party

Every MONDAY, beach party barbecue with bonfire and Calypso band.  Every TUESDAY, a pianist plays for the evening and THURSDAY is calypso music and sing-along songs.  Dinner is a la carte with option of the Caribbean Curry Table. Every FRIDAY, Jamaica Night:  on seaside terrace, featuring a bountiful buffet, Jamaican specialties, Steel Drums or Reggae band, and an exciting Jamaican folklore performance after dinner. Every SATURDAY, Gala Dinner Dance: A more formal evening of dining and dancing on the seaside terrace with a Jazz Band and SUNDAY is calypso and piano music. Jackets often worn, though not required. Tryall Club Beach and Beach Party

Silent Waters' Tryall Club membership offers guests access to the Tryall Club beach and to the Beach Cafe and Bar (see details for Tryall Club guest membership on the Activities and Rental Rates pages). Enjoy this delightful lunch venue offering indoor and outdoor seating. During the high season the Beach Grill is open and offers beach delivery service together with drinks from the adjacent Rum Bar. In the evening, guests may enjoy the Beach Barbeque which is hosted seasonally on MONDAY nights from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m and features live Jamaican entertainment. On THURSDAY nights from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. enjoy Reggae Night which features music, entertainment and crab racing.
